Two standard rail boxcars are cut and fitted together at their doors, making a closed volumetric space, a modular containment. The intersection of lugubrious commercial rail traffic with static immobility halts the forward momentum of progress which the railroads once embodied emblematically. One car cannot move forward without pulling the other off the tracks. The tension of opposition creates equilibrium.
