(Walking Gait)

1975-2009

Proposal for a pedestrian overpass at the west end of Georgia Street, near the entrance to Stanley Park. To be constructed from 12x12 Douglas fir timber, with entrances at the bottom of each leg for access to stairs and escalators. An interior hallway between the legs has slotted windows allowing views of the forest and mountains on the west side, and the downtown core to the east.

An artist's call for public art proposals for the 2010 Olympics included a request for a significant project for sites on either side of Georgia street at the park. The $750,000 commission was won by Rodney Graham, for his Aerodynamic Forms in Space.
