Douglas fir, inner tube
8’ x 6’ x 2’
1975

Two massive 9” x 12” creosoted timbers rest in suspension, held by an embracing inner tube. The timbers are not mechanically fastened, providing a precarious and tentative connection that imbues the work with a palpable kinesthetic charge; not a work to turn your back on.
